Barcelona is a great city. Art, architecture, history, people, famous streets, mountains, old neighborhoods, beach, sea, fantastic restaurants and hotels, cool shops and much more.
Sagrada Familia. A giant temple designed by Antonio Gaudí. A stunning building under construction for years and still unfinished. This is the most amazing fact for me, when you think that you can re-visit the place and re-discover it every time you go by seeing how it expands and get close to the final.
Montjouïc Magic Fountain. Next to Plaça d’Espanya we find Montjuïc and it’s magic Fountain. Show of water, lights and music that you can enjoy from lots of different spots. I recommend a visit to MNAC Museum (is right there) and see the fountain water show at night. A must see Barcelona attraction.
Picasso Museum. The museum is located in magnificent old mansions in the old medieval neighborhood El Born. You’ll have to go early if don’t want to suffer queues, but it’s a top Barcelona attraction and a top international and hystorical artist.
La Rambla. The Spanish poet Federico García Lorca said about La Rambla, “It is the only street in the world which I wish would never end.” Bird shops, chairs, street artists, painters, jazz clubs at Plaza Real, restaurants, tourists, people, people and more people. It’s easy to feel alive while walking through La Rambla de Barcelona.
Camp Nou (FC Barcelona). FC Barcelona is one of the most important sports club in the world. Champions at soccer, basketball, hockey, handball, etc. Experience high level sport and see the best athletes in the world at Camp Nou. The museum explains this great club history. You can buy great clothing and presents at the shop.
Parc Güell. Beautiful park designed by Antoni Gaudi. Known for it’s amazing view of the city and the dragons. You’ll find Gaudi everywhere, you will feel his art and heritage. Must see!
Passeig de Gràcia. Full of shops, restaurants, people and life. Walking down from La Diagonal to Plaça Catalunya through Passeig de Gràcia is a great experience. You’ll find great buildings and interesting architecture, such as La Pedrera or Casa Batlló.
Tibidabo Hill. You can start by taking the old Tram Blau, an old tram that will reach you to the Hill. Best views of Barcelona and a fun amusement park open from March to October.
Interesting neighborhoods: Barri Gòtic, Barri de Gràcia, El Born, L’Eixample.
