Great discovery while staying at Casa Bergua rural apartments. L’Atalaya restaurant is located in Torla, a beautiful town in the heart of The Pyrenees. In summer, Torla becomes a very crowded place because of the tourism and the great attraction Ordesa National Park is.
There are some nice restaurants like El Duende or La Cocinilla. Really good restaurants, but L’Atalaya is special. This restaurant is very romantic and authentic. Two small separated rooms and another one bigger upstairs (the “phantom room”).
Great menu for 20 Euros with 6 starters and 6 main dishes to choose, dessert, water and wine included. The wine from the menu was good, but I highly recommend trying one from Somontano DO for a little extra money.
Traditional food with great taste and presentation. No high pretensions, just good food very well prepared by expert hand in the kitchen. I ate “migas”, goat cheese salad and chicken. Most dishes are done using products from the area and you notice that quality and taste with every single bite.
